Right now I'm working through a temp agentcy that had me hired on where I'm at now. I work as many hours as full time, here everyday, etc.... Got a call today before work and now on Monday, i have an interview to get hired on full time:D:D:D:):):):beer::beer::beer:

Thx everybody.

I know I want to change rear ends to a stronger and want disk brakes but my other JY has exploded there with the drum rear ends, unless they have finally updated their vehicles like they were wanting to do. I know I hate drum brakes but since everything brakes wise is going to be new, we shall see what the final choice is based on price.

Can explorer disk brakes setup be put on a explorer drum axle?

if not weld on brackets ar cheap. I spent less converting to discs than I would have to completely overhaul my drums. thats for the 9" tho

Yes it can. An 8.8 is an 8.8. I put an Explorer disc setup on my full width 8.8 and just redrilled the rotors.

I'm going to have to look up how you did that, though i plan on staying with explorer and away from FW axles so no need to drill rotors here, but should be the same process. If my local yard wants about the same then I'll travel to Indy for one. I really want an open diff one and I'm told most were l/s.

I only have access to a 110v welder so I'm safer to stick with bolt on stuff if i can.

Well not full time yet but don't why i wouldn't. Clean record, never been late only lefty early when we told to.

I can get benefits with while I'm through now but it costs an arm and a leg. If i get hired on, then i have to wait 90 days before i can go for benefits.

Alrighty what did I get done today.....not much. Wasnt as warm as it was suppose to be (go figure) so I got what needed done done.

First got the airfilter housing on the engine so Im good there.

Also got the fuel guage working for now via rope tied around the gas tank that is holding the connector down to the electrical contacts till it warms up enough that I can pull the bed to get it fixed right.

But the good news is I have drove 55 miles and have only used 3/8 of a tank of fuel compaired to my 30 miles with my other carb and be down 3/8 so big improvement. How many MPGs is that....dont know yet but hopefully 12?????

Other then that its a freaking blast to drive, if you dont have a v8 of some kind under the hood of your RBV, get one!!!!!
 
Since one of my ranger buddies has a garage that my truck might be able to fit into, heres next sundays job so that i can change the oil.
