Like I'm going to keep my foot out of it lol. But I am hoping for better mileage. If I can get 15mpg I'll be psyched about that.

In other news on the escape, I called them and they said they should be able to do something about it and will have the sales guy who sold it to me call me back when he gets to work. Btw the sales guy was great, nothing bad I can say about him and I told them that. So now it's a waiting game for a phone call.

Good to see it's on and running. I like the hand held data read and input. Sounds real good for first start up. How long from install to running? Waiting to hear more on any real gains or problems. Nice though. :yahoo:
 
Install to running, 6 hours.

The escape has a P0351 code, COP coil number one which they replaced and it's faulty. In still waiting for a phone call.
 
I got texted by the dealer/sales guy and he said that he won't be about to find out till tomorrow on if anything can be done with the escape, I'm praying for a yes.

How are unliking the Fitect so far? Driven it much? Really thinking of getting one myself now.
 
I haven't had time to drive my truck yet. Got my escape fixed again, hopefully it stays that way. I plan on driving it this coming week.
 
Update on the Ford escape:

Bad: left it at the dealers over night and when the tech guy went out to start it this morning the miss was back. So they have diagnosed it to be the ECM is faulty.

Good: because it was preexisting condition, they will be fixing it for free but the earliest time to squeeze it in to have the ECM changed and what not will be next Friday.

Yes I can get it back today but it will be driven as little as humanly possible, emergency/short trips only.

It's getting fixed so all good news.

On my way home the miss went away and the a/c started working again. I'm still going to have the pcm replaced, this is an intermittent problem that will come back.
 
Yep sounds like a bad short going to or coming from the ecm.

Well went out to test the truck, adjusted the warm up idle to be at 1000rpm and test when to have the efan turn on.

Well after idling awhile I hit the gas and it back fired causing the engine to die, TB to have a nice slow fire to it. Got it put out and started back up.

So to fix that I assume I should advance the timing a couple degrees, had somewhat the same issue with the carb. I'm at 10tdc.
 
I was always told to set it by ear. Where it sounds the smoothest and advance it another degree. Idk how true that is but my truck likes it.

I set mine when it had the carb but now with this is a whole new can of worms. I also have a mustang cam in mine and I'm told they like to be up in the timing.
