:icon_welder: Alright everyone, i started this build back in March and i am still not done. Money is a big damper for me, as i have 3 other projects. I got the whole front end out of a 93 Park Ranger Bronco for free because the guy went with 8 lug straight axle. Since it was free, and Auto Fab in Santee, CA built a ranger that got 19" of travel out of the front end, i figured, hell with it. :icon_welder:

I started out with the 6" Class II kit from skyjacker, and the front end. I got the beams in place in about 3 hours after i started. The radius arms were too short, the coil buckets would have to be relocated, the steering arms had to be modified, the driveshaft needed to be made, and the passenger side axle shaft needs to be shortened.

I took a old bumper from my CJ (1/4" hardened steel in the "C" shape) and cut 2 pieces about 4.5" long and welded them to where the stock spring buckets were. I used 1/4" steel braces to go from under the frame to the end of the relocation brackets. I also placed 3 pieces of DOM tubing inside to act as sleeves for the new bolts that would hold the bracket into place. Welded up and smoothed out any holes, then drilled the 3 for the buckets.

The buckets were stock with the top being strengthened with 1/4" steel laid flat and angled from lip to top.

Raduis arms WERE skyjacker arms. I cut them, sleeved them, lengthened them and then plated them. Next i am going to Heim them.

Steering rods from both a F150 and my ranger were used. The righ tarm was from the ranger, the left from the F150. The drop pitman arm has to be adjusted because of where the center on the ranger was is not the center anymore.

Extended swaybar links were used. The brackets from the D35 were cut down and bolted to the D44 beams after the holes were redrilled.

still dont have the shaft situation figured out, and the driveshaft i have is from a 99 Ranger with the CV yoke. the head was cut off and replaced with one from a fullsize Bronco then it was trued.

Brake lines are Skyjacker, but are for the Bronco with ABS. The truck stops on a dime now. the truck makes the tires seem like they are light as a feather, when in all reality, they weigh close to 60lbs each.

The rear end was pulled out, and replaced with a 9" from a 75 F100. The axle was rebuilt with all new bearings, brakes, and gears. The R&P was swapped out for the 4.56. National Spring made me the U-Bolts for the truck, but the plates were made by me because the springs on the ranger are too wide for the 75's plates.

This is as far as i am now. I am waiting on some more money to come in, then it is back to tearing into it again. If you guys have any questions or comments, leave them here.

of course i kept it full width. The rear is wider than the front, but only by an inch, so i wasnt too worried about it

Friday i got the pitman arm finished, i had to file the inside of the hole that goes onto the steering box so i could set the arm where i wanted, but still keep the wheels straight. I also got the bumper on. I took the stock bumper and bobbed it. The plate for the winch fit perfect behind it. I will have to mount the fairlead on the outside of the bumper, otherwise the winch will be behind the bumper. The tires are rubbing pretty good right now, i definitely have to cut the fenders out some. I'll keep you guys posted
