I have a dana 44 solid out of a EB and it came with drum brakes and I wanna put disc on it. I have a donor truck which is a 89 f150 that Im pulling the 302 tranny and x-case but it has independent up front. would that be a Dana 44? well im wondering if i could pull the knuckles off of it, and it also has a posi front and rear, can i use that as well? im also putting a 9in out of a EB could i use the posi in the rear? :dunno:

Yes it is a TTB D44 in the front of the 89 f150, but the knuckles are different than the solid axle versions and will not fit the EB axle.

The rear axle will be a full width 31 spline 8.8, the limited slip in it will not fit the EB 9"

Well wat is the spline in the ranger 8.8? so i could use the posi up front tho right?

ranger is 28 spline. Yes you could use the limited slip from the f15o in the eb d44

could i use axle shafts from a sploder? since they are 31 spline?

No, they are different lengths and the bearing journals are much larger.
