I have a dana 44 front and dana 70 rear axles. I was told they came out of a 79 f250. I was looking at replacing the rear drums and or hubs and front rotors but the problem I'm having is the lug studs on the axles are 9/16 x 18 And whenever I look up rotors and drums for those axles it always says theyre supposed to be 1/2 x 20 lug studs. Does anyone know why they have different size lug studs or does it really even matter, or if they really didn't come off an f250. Any info would be helpful cuz I'm lost. The front has 44 6cf on the pumpkin and 33/35. And the 70 just has 70 and then c34835 on the pumpkin.

Can you get part numbers off the old parts?

The 44 should be 1/2, the 70, 9/16 studs. The 70 is a one ton axle, which was swapped into the f250, which came with a 60. 9/16 studs were probably installed in the 44 to match the rear. You'll probably have to drill the replacement 44 rotors out, unless you pull a current rotor off and see if a dana 60 rotor matches...

I'll second everything SVT said, and add that the 44 could also have chevy outers, which had 9/16" studs factory. Just another option to consider...
