dana 35 with 44 solid axel outers...????

Nope, I was wrong. Sorry. The D44 TTB knuckles are used for the D35.

But I do know the D44 TTB knuckles won't fit on a 70-77 or 78-79 straight D44

So chances are they won't fit a D35 either.

found this info on trs.....The Dana 35 & Dana 44 front axles use Part# 5-297X which is a 1310 Series u-joint.........and this..........Same knuckles and u-joints as Dana 44 (this was under axle info in tech page..under dana 35ttb it didnt state that has to be a ttb--^

How about you put a D44 solid axle under your truck, that might be easier.

From this post...
http://www.therangerstation.com/Magazine/winter2007/44knuckleswap.htm

He said...
"The Knuckles I used where 1984-1986 I believe. Just about any TTB 44 knuckles should work."

And while converting my EB axle to disc brakes I discovered the TTB knuckles wouldn't fit, due to the fact that the TTB knuckles had IIRC like an inch more spacing between the balljoints. That in turn means that the straight D44 has less spacing between the balljoints and that they will not work for the Ranger's TTB.

Trust me, I had a set of D44 TTB knuckles, and I measured it like 5 times before I spent $150 on my 78 outers.

My advice would be to, If you have knuckles from a straight D44, to sell them to somebody needing discs for their 70-75 EB D44. And go to the local junkyard and pick-up a set of TTB knuckles dirt cheap.

I bought my outers at a fair price of $150, and that was without hubs, rotors, and locking hubs. If you have them they are worth some money, and TTB parts are still plentiful and cheap in the junkyards.
