Hey, What is the differences between the TTB D35 and the SLA D35 other then standard rotation reverse rotation?

I was just thinking that if there really wasn't a difference why wouldn't you be able to use a locker from the TTB version of the axle? I was thinking of putting a Powertrax in my front diff seeing as it only removes the spider gears and replaces them with the unit. So unless the axle shafts have a different spline count or the carrier is a different dimension on the inside it would theoretically work right?

If I'm right in thinking then sweet, if not well I don't know much about the difference in axles anyways. :dunno:

When I ordered my Lock-Right for the D35 TTB, it had previously been used in a Jeep D35 rear. The Jeep D35 gears fit the SLA D35 (I accidentally ordered my gears wrong the first time).

So long story short, some Jeep lockers will fit I think, but you have to pay attention carrier breaks. I can't remember it all off the top of my head though.

Carrier breaks? You mean they could break from extra stress?

I plan on a power trax so that I ahve atleast some sort of limited slip up front for that extra traction. I know they came out with A Torsen front L/S thing but I looked it up and I could probably go with a D30 for the price they were asking.

No carrier breaks, as in slightly different carriers for higher and lower gear ratios.

I recall the SLA IFS carrier was slightly narrower than the TTB carrier (it's unique to the SLA axle for some reason).
