dana 35 ratcheting noise

I have a 1991 ranger with the Dana 35 front end and when I turn to the right and back up it makes a really loud ratcheting/grinding noise I can't seem to figure out exactly what it is any suggestions?

I'd guess the axle u-joints.. if you replace them, but Spicer or comparable joints. Don't buy cheap u-joints.

I replaced them on the driver side. think it might be the other side maybe?

I need to do my pass side as well. It's a pain.

Ok so I put the u joints in and it still makes the noise

And it only does it in 2wd
