Ive read through the how to's, searched around, and couldnt find any torque specs for the dana 35 front axle.
Im in the process of changing ball joints, and need to know what to torque everything to when I re-assemble everything here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only part that I have ever torqued were the wheel bearings. They should be somewhere around 250 ft/lbs. Everything else jusy good and tight.

Probably would be a good idea to pick up a manual for your truck. It should have those torque specs in it.

Ive been meaning to do that, but have no front wheels at the moment, so its out of the question right now. :dntknw:
I dont really want to make another new thread, so I figure I'll ask here. Seeing as how I have both axle shafts out at this time, I noticed I have a milky diff. Is there anything else to removing the front diff, other then removing the bolts on the front of it, and remove the drive shaft, and pry seal. Id like to clean it out with brake cleaner, and fill it up with clean fluid.

Yes you need to pull the whole pumpkin. There is also a long bolt on the drivers side of the pumkin that needs to be removed also. I believe you need to move the radius arm out to access it.

yea getting that pumpkin out is no fun. as for the ball joints i "believe" that the lower b joint nut needs to be torqued to 90 ft lbs and the top pinch bolt is something like 45 ft lbs. make sure when you reinstall the rad arm to toque to spec.at the axle beam, its like 190-220ft lbs or some ungawdly torque- prepare to summon the strengh of he-man to get them loose. i've done this so many times that i feel like a walking chiltons.
