well im goin to hannibal rocks this weekend and my bronco got the dana 28 and i was wonderin if you think it will hold up for a couple trail rides with 33's?
thanks kyle

Be very nice to it and it will hold. Install spicer u-joints and tack weld the caps to the shaft along with the c-clips. If you have to use some gas make sure the wheels are straight. If you spit a cap, have the wheels turned and mat the gas, or some situations with the wheels straight and hard gas you'll break the shafts at the u-joints. Take spares is the best advice.

well all i have to say is there alot stronger than everybody says cause we bused them from 8 a.m to about 4p.m when we run it off in a mud whole and it died.

new joints and weld the whole cap into the axle yoke.

No more busted shafts, but bring spare hubs.

??????????????????

So did you kill the axle or what?

sorry about the spelling.... no we never did break one. they seem pretty strong i think i must not wheel as hard as everyone else but i was given it hell everywhere with 33's and nothin happened.

I've never had any problems with mine either, but I guess the 205/75 15's I have on it are not stressing it too much..

Running stockish stuff tends to keep other stock stuff in good shape. My Ranger came with 205's from the factory, but it has always had 235's on it since I got it.

Once when I was replacing the rear u-joints and had to move the truck I set the e-brake and did a few front wheel burnouts. Man that was fun.

For the record, I haven't broke mine yet but I'll tell you, the possibility is always in the back of my mind when those front wheels start spinning !!!
