Dana 28 Control Arm Issue

Well. Packing wheel bearings for this evenings drive to ohio, and I notice this:

That's the control arm mount on the passenger side. The gap is much larger than it looks.

Do I just pull it in tighter with an impact? Am I missing pieces? It doesn't look like there's a bushing in the slot in the mount.

Yeah... that's not right. Is the rear half of the bushing still there or did it fall apart and all you have is a washer and a nut?

Post a pick of the other side. Usually there is a heat shield that will hide the plastic and rubber pieces that we need to see.
A real skookum impact might work....I ended up using a 4' snipe on my 3/4" breaker bar.

That's all that should be on that side. It goes nut, washer, heat shield, rubber, plastic, the bracket itself, then bushing, washer.

Should NOT be pulled away from the bracket that far, though. Without seeing the other side it looks like it's either way too loose or pieces have fallen out.

Will do. Had to run out. Thought I heard a 3500+ rpm miss. I did. This was a NGK V-Power, heat range 10 plug. Was.
