Just need the outer axle shaft that connects from u joint to wheel. I‘d also be happy to buy one that has an inner shaft attached so you don’t have to deal with old u joint.

chromo46-51 rockwell they blow away spicer units.

Unit Price: $59.00

2.2 out of 5 stars on any review platform is pretty rough. There are lots and lots of bad stories about them all over the place. Are their steel parts trustworthy?

i have not had any issues so far with d 35 or 44 or 60 stuff.. with d 28 there are not many options.

That’s good to hear.
Does this need to be replaced? I haven’t been able to decide.
The spindle covers all of this mashed area so this surface area is not important I don’t believe. No idea what caused it and this is the first time I’ve opened up the axles on this truck that I’ve had for 4 years. Spindle interior / bearings looks totally fine.
I’d prefer to just keep this OEM if this damage has no impact on performance or structural integrity.
But if it needs to be replaced, maybe JBG is the reasonable choice.

Holy crap, Batman! That’s a whole lot worse than mine were a month ago and I hesitate to keep mine for emergency spares.

I got new ones (Dana35) from Bronco Graveyard. I had to file down the outside diameter slightly to make them fit through the hole in the knuckle. Otherwise, look like great parts.

What would have caused that? Spindle bearings blew apart?

clearly it ran low on beer.

likely a roller from the inner or pieces of bearing or c clip.....or whole thrust assembly...

I am pretty sure I have a brand new Spicer outer shaft in my parts hoard. PM me if you are interested, I will hook you up with a good deal on it.

I’m in the middle of swapping my Dana 28 for a Dana 35. Where are you located at? I’m in AZ
