I'm in Dallas Texas for the week. Well, Carrollton. Went to downtown Dallas yesterday and enjoyed it. Nice area. I'm kinda digging Texas.

Drove through Amarillo once seemed pretty flat and not much out there but I'd like to head down that way get the full experience.and post up a few pics of the place landmarks cool stuff if you wouldn't mind I'd like to see what it looks like in Dallas

It's pretty nice here.
Going to be a hot summer but lately we have had a lot of rain.

I was down there last year to visit a buddy... I like it. I think Texas is one of only 2 or 3 states besides South Dakota that I could actually live in and enjoy. Hot though, and humid.

If you have the time, go tubing on one of the rivers. We went on the Guadalupe River, very relaxing. Bring your cooler of beer, float and chill for a few hours.

Been to TX a few times. Nice place but hot as hell.

The day I left NM, it was 119. The day I landed at KCI @ 0530 hrs., 110. Yeah I know hot.

So, I couldn't go to Dallas and not stop at gas Monkey Garage. I got there around 12:45 pm and saw a sign that they were filming (they were in the shop). I went in the front, and they have a really nice shop where you can buy shirts, and stuff. The girl at the counter was really nice (and really hot), and said they would be coming out soon for lunch. She said they usually come out around 1:00 pm. She warned that Richard is really good about talking to the fans, but Aaron sin't.

Sue enough, Aaron Kaufman came out from the garage into the parking lot, got in to the back seat of an F-150 with some others, and left.

Richard Rawlings came out a little while later, opened the gate and walked out in to the fans. He very patiently took time to let everyone have a turn getting their picture with him (including this guy).

Cool stuff. Now I have to go because I live here and have never been lol. Thy're supposed to be opening 2 more Gas Monkey Bar N Grill here too. 1 in Waco and 1 in Killeen. The old Twin Peaks, imagine that. At least that's what my son told me. Guess I'll wait and see now.

I watched gas monkey garages show when it first came out. Thought it was cool because they were based in dallas. Eventually their show really took off and now they are everywhere. They have the grill and bar over here, they also attended the red bull flugtag here and kinda made a fool of themselves. And also apparently have a rally car because I saw it at the red bull grc race a couple weeks ago.
I haven't actually been to the new shop yet but I've driven past the old one.

We went down there a couple years ago. I like the show, they are getting a little out of hand now. But the old builds were cool. Love the resturant. Good food, reasonable prices.

That is way cool you were able to meet Richard, and had a picture taken. You and the wife enjoying yourself in Texas?

Wife and I aren't together anymore.

I went to Dallas to scout out the area in order to move there. Stayed with my daughter while I was there.

I didn't get to go to one of the Bar & Grills. Maybe when I get moved down I can find a few TRS members to go.

My biggest obstacle in moving to the Dallas (Carrollton and north areas) is trying to find a place to store my 30-foot camper. It's crazy how much places want for storage.

What is Gas Monkey? I'll look it up. You actually look a lot like that guy you are posing with.

Down there, in the sun, you have to keep your tools in a pan of water so they aren't too hot to grab.
