Dakota J needs switch help!

I have a 1999 Ranger 2 door, regular cab, 4 cyl. Something has gone haywire with the heater controls. The heat works great but it will only blow out of the defrost. Same for A/C. No matter where I turn the selector knob, it always comes out of the defroster. Any quick fix for this problem? all help apreciated.

That's usually a vacuum leak. Most of the times it's under the hood. Either the check valve, reservoir or lines.

Yeah sounds like either 1. a vacuum leak or 2. a stuck blend door. either way not a hard to fix problem just a hard to find out whats actually wrong and where at problem.
