The Neutral safety switch nomenclature is very elusive to me. My NAPA dealer told me all he had was a diagram showing the switch in two pieces for installation. All he can tell me is the one piece slides on and the 2nd gets inserted. Has anyone ever replaced this switch? I don't dare twist the old switch out being it practically sits atop the hydyralic cylinder. spent 62 bucks I 'd like to get on the road again I'm gettin cabin fever!

yeah, i've done this before on a 91. Unplug it, squeeze the little tabs on the white part and slide it out. then pull it down off the rod. It will be tight, but don't be afraid to pull on it hard.
