daily doubler build

I kinda did, not gonna lie..... My clutch and starter got a workout for sure.... I attribute 90% of my mechanical issues on the trip to lack of a doubler. My new setup is crawl happy at 117:1 in full low though so I should be good now.... Once I get it all done and tested I may try and be sneaky like Matt and get back in as a sponsor rig.... Time will tell!

Well, did ya have fun?

Hell yes I had fun! I was definitely one of the best trips of my life. Every single one of the guys that were there was awesome. Great personalities, and the wealth of knowledge that was there was unreal. Everyone was willing to help everyone and there was never a dull moment. We did a lot of waiting around, but we didn't care. Visiting with everyone was just as enjoyable. We lucked out though, the temps most of the time were in the low 80's or so. Waaay cooler than most of the UA's.

Nope, Ali left his Ranger at home. He's the one writing the magazine article this year though, so hopefully my Ranger will get some decent recognition. Ali is a cool dude, too. All of the guys were.

Whatcha get an award for on closing night?

And ya, all the guys on my trip were pretty damn cool, only one asshat from Michigan and he was a reader...

We got the "Sleeper" award. We were always ready when the group was, never needed help from the cronies, the truck made most of the obstacles, etc.

Dam dude Im sooo jealous!

Here's a few pics that have come out of the woodwork. It seems there's a lot more pics of the Jeeps. Oh well, I knew my driving style wouldn't attract much attention. haha

that's one nice looking ranger... congrats Bray.
you served us all well, lol. all of us were searching facebook for pics of your ranger the entire time lol. several of us shared a few photos we found lol.

Thanks guys. I put my heart and soul into the rebuild and the trip itself. I honestly gave it my all, and I feel like we represented everyone (RBV crowd as well as the Midwest) to the best of our abilities.

I don't really know where we went. lol. When we arrived at the start location I put the GPS in the glove box. We didn't know where we were going or where we had been the entire trip. I wanted it to be as much of an adventure as possible. I'm sure I could backtrack to figure out where we went, but I'll probably wait till the mag and DVD come out as I'm sure they'll line out the path.

Birdy told me you may be coming east to play at the end of the month. That true?

Glad you had fun Bray! Looks like you got to sample a pretty wide variety of terrain out there.

Still happy with the new tires? How'd they stack up against the other tires out there (MTR's and the Nitto's)?
