That looks like oregon/washington high desert country. Great action pic.

there are pics in the pirate thread, so far they have hit elbe in washington. Then they were headed to idaho, but that looked like Bend area

Wonder if he saved it...

Is the back wheel in the air also? That's flippin sweet!

yeah, back tire is on the ground...

Wonder if he saved it...

must have, he said he got a little body damage, but only people who already know his rig would know the new stuff:D:D

never mentioned a flop though...

He is on his way home if he isn't there already. We should here from him soon. I sent him a text asking how the truck was performing and he said that zero mechanical failure with the ranger. IMHO that is awesome. He had said that he only ended up with a little more body damage and I assume it would be to the bed. If any of you are on facebook there are a ton of pics from Tony Pellegrine who drives for one of the sponsors.

Good to hear the ranger brought him home safe and in one piece. Oh yeah, glad Bray is in one piece too :D

he had a failure to his driveshaft on the way home....ball in the double cardan joint gave out....

good thing he had a spare one:icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

he had 450 miles to get home when he told me....should be home later sometime.....

I am sure he will post up once he recuperates from the trip a little....

thats kinda shitty... make it all the way through UA with no mechanical failure then blow a driveshaft going home lol

At least it didn't happen during UA. Another win for Ford :icon_thumby:

Seen pics of his Ranger on Warn and 4wheel & Off-road's Facebook.

Wow, thanks for following along guys! I was hoping to keep everyone updated, but it's impossible. You're VERY busy during the UA. Not much time for networking and such.

That's an awesome action pic. I'm still shuffling through all of the pics that have been put online. I'm hoping to save them all then update my threads with the good ones I find.

I did change my oil in a gas station parking lot before making the 1700 mile trek home. The spherical bearing in the rear CV started chirping around mile 700-750, so I swapped it out with my spare. I wouldn't attribute the bearing failure to the UA, it's just got over 100k miles on it and it's not greasable. It was bound to dry up some day, it just happened to be on our way home. I'll rebuild the CV and keep that shaft as my spare. The Tom Woods shaft I replaced it with is 100% greasable.

We did very well on the trip. Most of the guys commented on the Ranger's capabilities. I'm pleased with our performance and I'm hoping we get some good coverage in the mag/DVD.

Andrew - I have NO IDEA how you did that without a doubler. I would've went insane. lol
