daily doubler build

I can not mount 37" MTRs onto boggers. I was referring to the quote i posted.

so confused....

Truck is looking great Bray. What park is that? Redbird?

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Now i get it

Ah ok. well for what its worth im fairly unimpressed with my mtr's. granted i havnt wheeled them much they do well in mud bit ive noticed on wet pavment they slide easy so id imagine theyd be the same on rocks

I'd beg to differ, but thats just my experience.... They worked great for me, and Shay'll back that up as well. What air pressure are you running them at? Until they're broken in they'll need close to single digit pressure to work as they should.

32 psi. theyre on my dd maybe bigger sizes are better but my 31x10.50s will let my ass end slide out beside me around a corner in the rain around 25km/h without being in the throttle. other then that theyre fantastic. i have been told theyre terrible in the snow by a buddy with 33" size but i have winter tires so i havnt had them in snow

WHOA!! I ran mine at 30 on the road, and 8 on the trail. I liked mt old MTRs, but i still have to say the Toyos are better. They were the best tires i have ever ran. Great on the road, even better offroad, but the only downfall is the price.

CTB2 - I wasn't lookin too hard. I'll be on the lookout now though. Need to get my hands on some by spring time.

I've been looking at the KM2's and the Kevlar MTR's. Of the reviews I've read, the MTR's are winning. Though I'd rather have the Goodyears, I'd probably run either of them. I need a more road worthy tire. These SSR's are out of balance again, and are starting to wear funny.

You guys guessed it. I guess I wasn't forward enough with my hint. haha. TR locks with slim rings will be on their way to my place tomorrow.

With the beadlocks, the new tires will be run at single digit pressures for sure. I run 11psi front, 9psi rear now with the SSR's.

I got the traction bar built today. Not entirely pleased with the bar itself. I used ballistic's 2" flex joint at the frame end, and the joint is way smaller than I thought. I may build a new bar later with a larger flex joint. That would eliminate the bent shackle as well. Anyways, this will work for now. I know it needs trussed before I beat it off rocks. I may just run it like this and see what happens. If/when it bends I'll build a beefy one with a larger joint.

edit: I'll upload pics when my internet is done fawking off. Slow as hell tonight. I even took a burnout vid to show you guys how well it works. :D

AAAhhhh. the never ending battle of roadworthy v.s. trail worthy.

My first tires were the old style Kumho M/T's. I'd say they were more towards the 'road' side of the road vs offroad performance. These SSR's are more on the 'offroad' side of the spectrum. I look for the KM2's or MTR's to be a happy medium.

I had the KM2's on my Explorer. I liked them and they were great off-road. Buddy has the MTR Kevelar's and they do great off-road also. Both have good road manners too. I just sold my Durango's and got some 37 inch SSR's for the ranger. Gonna try them out on saturday.

that's the plan. I'm gonna have to shorten the unit and pump quite a bit though. pics to come

i wondered if you could use sending unit from 85 ranger going to carburator and elec pump:icon_confused:
