can get the d44 hub off the rotor. 1st time taking it off. should it come off like the d35 because its not even tho im bashing it with a sledge and cold chisel under the lip between rotor and hub???

What year D44?

'92 the locking hub is an internal type. You have to take the dial cap off, then remove two snaprings (one on the end of the axleshaft, and one holding the hub body in), then after you remove the hub body, you can undo the wheelbearings and the hub & rotor will then come off.

If you're replacing the rotor, it's pressed onto the wheel hub via the lug studs.
