what is the fattest tire/rim set up you would put on the D35 axle. i have run 35x12.50R15's on 15x8 rims with no issues. and i have run the same size tires on 15x10 rims and had issues of it chewing up wheel barrings. but i think those issues were due to other reasons other than just the rims and tires sticking out to far. i would like to run 16/35/15 boggers on it. but am verry concerned as to if it would chew up wheelbarrings ahd hubs again it i do. this is strictly a mud rig, and never is driven on the road if that helps.

The wide rims is what is hard on the wheel bearings.

I run a 36x12.50r15 on 15x8's on my d35 without wheel bearings problems.

ya im currently running 35X12.50R15 DC Crushers on 15x8 rims with a 3.75" backspacing with no issues. to run these fat tires i would need to run 15X10 rims. my last set of 15X10's only had a 4" backspacing. the biggest backspacing i can find on the 15X10's is a 4.5 back spacing. but i am looking to acheve flotation in DEEP mud. also if this helps the only time i am realy "getting on the gas" the rig is going in a strate line. so i know that this would put less strain on the wheelbarrings than if i was turning wile giing her gas. when i had the issues with the above stated set up i was wheeling it. not just going in a straight line.

Just so we get this straight...

A LOWER amount of backspacing will make the rim stick out further, wrecking more havoc on your wheel bearings.

2" of Backspacing on a set of wheels will make them stick out further than with 4" of Backspacing.

If you already know this, then cool. It is just unclear from your posts.

And, it's wide rims with low (2") of backspacing that wreck havoc on your wheel bearings.

yes i am fully aware of the fact that the smaller the back spacing the ferther the tires stick out/ the more dammage to wheel barrings. i wish i could find a 15X10 with a 5 or 5.5" backspacing but 4.5" backspacing is the best i could find.
