Need help with removing the old third member. I have everything torn down shafts pulled etc. and I cant get the old 3rd member out! Seems there's a bolt on the driver side of the third member. Whats the easiest way to get that 3rd member out? Do I have to take out the radius arm or is there an easier way? ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

yes there is a bolt under the drivers side radius arm that holds the 3rd memeber in.

some people will notch out the radius arm to get tot he bolt, others will take the radius arm off.

Others will cut the head of the bolt so it is D shaped then it slips past without notching the radius arm.

That's how mine is.

I prefer to drop the whole beam and loosen the radius arm. Then I don't have to wrestle with the pig while it's in the rig either.

I ended up slightly notching the radius arm and Im dropping the passenger side ttb arm so i can get the bastard out...never knew this shit would be this frusterating

Thanks for the good input though

I notched it on my Ex. But next time I think I would drop the whole thing, cause getting it back ON, was even more of a PITA
