d30 sas steering?

If you do run the jeep inverted Y you need to reinforce the tie rod as i have seen multiple one's bent and had to straighten/reinforce 3 so far for jeep friend's. all we did was straighten what they had and weld angle iron along length of the tube to give it a little more backbone

Do you mean the YJ setup when you say inverted Y? (similiar to maverick's)

I would love to run what maverick is running, Simple and stout, but with the XJ D30 that would take more cutting and experimenting... I like keeping it "mostly stock".

the factory steering from the jeep is inverted Y it looks like mavrick is runnin crossover.
i belive all the jeep (xj,yj,tj) dana 30's used the same steering. i am running crossover where my draglink runs from my pitman arm to the pass knuckle and the tie rod runs from knuckle to knuckle.

the inverted Y runs similar to the TTB stuff pitman to pass knuckle. drag link to driver's knuckle. so as the suspension cycle's the toe is allway's changing. with crossover you wont get that

mine look's similar to this

YJ's were crossover, XJ's and TJ's are inverted Y's...

I need to go wth a crossover steering set-up. So many things to do, so little money and time.

Would it be ok to put a YJ steering onto a D30 that has the inverted Y steering and would the track bar have to modded?

Yep that is what I am going to do as soon as it warms up some is get some angle iron to reinforce the tie rod.. it already bends some when moving the wheel back and forth...

Im still lost as to how the angle iron is put on, where etc.... Ive heard about this before.

the length that crosses the pumpkin. Many time's it will be bent back and be rubbing across the pumpkin

That helps a little. I stopped my truck the other day with a huge snow pile, wasnt till AFTER I did it I though hope I didnt screw up my steering linkage.
