I’ve been looking for some weld on beam armor for my D35 but no one makes it as a kit. Anyone wanna make some $ to fab some up from 3/16 plate for me? I don’t have a metal break so I can’t bend it.
I’d like to have bottom plates for both beams, a plate for the front lower half of the diff and a plate across the front of both beams that goes from knuckle to pivot bushing.

I attached pictures to show what I want. I can get the weld on diff armor from solo motor sports but if someone is willing to fab up this armor, I’ll buy it from them instead.

If you have a hydraulic press, you can get a brake attachment that fits in the press that will bend at least1/4” plate. I borrowed a brake from a friend and it worked perfectly in my Harbor Freight press.

Thanks, I’ll look into that!

Swag makes a kit for the 20 ton harbor freight press. It’s $200 plus shipping and the 20 ton press is $200. This may be an option when my taxes come in. I could use the press when I replace the bearings in the diffs.

SWAG is the one I want to buy.

I want a SWAG press brake so bad! I have a press and a CNC plasma table, bending things is kinda the next obvious level. Put their bandsaw table on your want list too, I love mine.

That armor plating for the driver's side beam looks pretty easy to make. I should figure out how to draw that and cut it.

Several of our shops at work have the Swag portaband table. It's very nice. One guy loosely copied it and made one at home.

I think you guys have sold me on it. I’ll have to wait until my taxes come in though.

So I had a scammer hit me up on here trying to sell me D35 armor. His name was Jason something. He referred me to another guy named Jason (jasonwilly1960@gmail.com) They both had bad english, like as if english is their second language. I believe it was the same scammer. He stole a picture of Plumbcrazy’s home made diff armor then tried to get me to buy it for $200. I was already suspecting it was a scammer so I searched for D35 armor and found the exact picture in Plumb’s thread.

This was the scammer.

I didn’t know there was an explorer forum... I’ll look him up, thank you!
