my freind was telling me that they now offer a kit that makes it possible to change the u-joints on a ford ranger over to CV joints, does anybody no were to find these kits and if its worth it

not worth it.

ok and one other question i have to replace my front diff cause the jack*** before me broke a axle and kept driving on it. is there anything i should no before starting this fix?

Getting the correct gear ratio to match your rear end will be very important. If you don't match them up then you will break more stuff when you try to use the 4x4.

Also, as long as you are replacing the axle go look for a d-35. Better axle and if you get the 97 knuckles you can get 2 piston calipers in the front.

if i change the front to a d35 with the same gear ratio do i have to change anything in the back?

k well i guess i'll be looking for a explor then and as far as the project it keeps me busy so the farther into it i get the better :icon_thumby:

Just remember, an explorer rear axle will need the spring perches and shock mounts moved to fit a ranger.
