Cutting out seat

I have been on quite a few different forums for seat conversion to buckets and it is mainly older rangers who have attempted this. I havent seen anything around my year with a swap. I have an 06 ranger single cab and i recently took out the seats and was checking them out to see if you could cut the middle section off. There is a tube that protrudes just off the side of the driver side seat. Then there are two main pieces of tubing holding the middle seat on. Anyone have any ideas here?

i think he's talking about converting the 60/40 to a bucket seat, or a bench to a bucket seat

yes, it has been done, not many of the ones i've seen look good, IMO, but it can be done...

if you're not super strapped for cash, IMO, go buy a set of buckets and make them fit... it will look much better and you will be happier with it because it will look more professional...

if you do decide to cut the seats, take your time and make sure you do it right... things like this look TERRIBLE when they are half-assed

True...and if he cuts too much then half an ass is all he will be able to put on the seat...

I'd go with the bucket replacement also...the floor holes should already be in the right places...I don't think Ford would change the floor pan configuration for that option alone...so buckets would fit the same holes...
