Cuttin pipes off before muffler....

I did that to start with, and it did have a flowmaster 40 series on it, but it just wasn't loud enough for me.

Just go with a body lift if you want something cheap. The ride isn't quite as good, but get you some good seats, and you'll do fine.

<-- This truck has 8" with 31's. It sits as high as our diesel F250. Decide how much lift is too much for you lol

body lifts have nothing to do with the ride. it will be the same after as it was before.
if that is your experience, then you may have needed new body mounts as well. i did both at the same time and was worth it for sure. just my $,02.

You do get more leverage for side to side stuff, and the higher CG will effect handling although not as much as a full suspension lift.

It does make the ride stiffer. The higher the body lift is, the more the stiffness as well.

@r1hatman- Or cats. I'm running true dual's that stop behind the manifold.

Force II systems are for people who are looking for a complete cat-back dual exhaust system with a quieter tone. With easy fit in mind, these systems are mandrel bent for maximum performance and include specially selected mufflers. This system delivers a moderate exterior sound and mild interior tone, and is suited to customers looking for efficiency improvements with a noticeable but subtle sound level. Like all Flowmaster systems, the benefits include improved throttle response, power and mileage. Designed for an easy fit, these systems include all necessary parts and hardware for easy installation.

is flowmaster louder than cherry bomb

i been thinking about popping off the muffler as well. any way to do it other then cutting it? like unbolting it and hammering it off. im between just taking the muffler off or just taking the whole system off from the headers back, i wanna make it loud but i dont have any money to do it haha.

just take the muffler off. i had my s10 2.8L straight piped for a while and it was friggin loud and got annoying after a while. my dad could hear me downshifting (its a 5 speed) at the store 3kms away its that loud. i cut my tail pipe off my ranger but still have the muffler on, i'd run out and take a picture but my truck is in town sitting in front of Lordco auto parts with a stuck starter.

whats the easiest way to get the muffler off. other then cutting. unless the only way to go is cutting. i pulled the u bolts off and tried getting it off but no luck.

Most U-bolt clamp connections are almost impossible to separate, they pinch the pipes together. Cut it off.

eh might just chop it off tomorrow. ill just keep it handy case i wanna throw it back on or i get a blasted ticket.

ya without cutting it, im thinking you'd have to pull the Y pipe and everything off too.
