Hey guys, I have a 1999 Ford Ranger XLT and I am looking for upgrade ideas. I have a tight budget and am very handy with the wrenches. I already looked into a shackle lift for my leaf springs, Changing my leaf springs over to Explorer leafs to gain extra height, and buying new torsion keys from ready lift for the front suspension. Any idea is a good one to me! :icon_welder:

Tight budget....crank the torsion bars up 1.5-2" with the stock keys, put belltech shackles on the back and get an alignment.

I second the previous post.

Don't do torsion keys. Pretty much everyone who has tried them for RBVs has said not to waste the time and money.

Crank the torsion keys that are in it, and do explorer rear leafs or drop shackles. If you want more lift without spending a fortune, I'd say look into a body lift - these newer trucks are just plain expensive to lift.

Thus why I bought an 89 BII and jacked it up, lol.
