Working on a custom tailgate for my ranger where the older gen Ford stamped skin is grafted on a newer gen tailgate. Ive seen it done by a couple members on here before but the first time I saw it was on Pasquals Sema show truck. Loved it as soon as I saw it and figured Id make a thread on how I do it. I also have some videos coming Il update the thread which go in detail on the process. Anyways below are some teasers.

I was thinking....vise.....extendable to carry more stuff....or some sort of stairway or ramp system to load a quad or dirt bike.....

But...this is good. Not common for these.

Thank you! I always liked the old style tailgates

Finished off the metal work on this tailgate, Il start bodywork and paint closer to the summer.
Also finished up part 2 of the video series if youre interested in seeing how it was made

Most of the action was happening in the upper half to third of the frame. And I sometimes missed what you were saying in the bottom as the lettering was quite small. Perhaps making the letters about four times bigger? Bring it up into the bottom quarter of the frame?
Otherwise I enjoyed learning how you did your work.
Thanks for posting.

Nice vdo. Did you flip the tailgate handle to the inside?

Thanks for the feedback, I try making the text small because I dont want it to take away from the visuals and the bigger I make it the more it cuts into them but I know what you mean and may have to change it.

I havent yet but that is the plan to do a tailgate handle flip kit
