I wanna order some custom made coils for my Mazda. I only want 2 inch lift so a leveling coil. But I want it to flex. I don't wanna use drop brackets. I know they make leveling coils that are a bit softer than stock ranger coils but Idk if that will be soft enough.

Truck just gets driven to the trail. Its not a daily driver. I took my front and rear sway bars off and don't mind the body roll. I want springs I can actually use offroad.

What is the perfect ppi and length of coil going to be?

Edit... my radius arms are being extended 12 inches as we speak.

If you lift it without radius arm drop brackets the front drive shaft gets really close to the crossmember which would limit your flex anyways.

Depending on what cab/motor/tranny you have you could get some used coils from a 2.3L, regular cab, short bed, stick ranger and do the washer mod to lift it. The PPI will be lower.

Also if you got lucky and found an old high rider in a junkyard you could get all the brackets from it, they are lifted like 2" from the factory.

You'll probably have to raise the stud some, I just put some washers under mine. I used a 5/8 that I reamded out to fit around the stud, they fit perfectly inside the bigger washers which helps keep them centered.

It's a 4.0 extended cab 5 speed. I do plan on using drop brackets when I extend my arms.

I didn't but you could also add washers on top of the hex to also help keep things centered but most people don't.

Mine had a 2.9 in it but you can see that the front was higher than the rear. It also had a 3" body lift and those are 31-11.50-15's

And a lame kind of flex shot.

Edit- I didn't see you're getting extended arms you should need drop brackets for them then.

Hmm.

I know it has been said before but I can't seem to find the numbers.

If I recall it was right around 300 ppi and 22-24 inch in length.

You'll end up with around 5-7" lift with springs like those on a 4.0L Supercab.

I'd use Skyjacker leveling coils. Without an actual suspension lift on it, the axle's travel will be somewhat limited anyway, I don't think you would have any issues getting it to flex up to the bumpstop with the SJ leveling coils.

That's what I was wondering. I tryed searching for flex pics of the 132x but couldn't find any thing.
