Well another year and another burnt out hanger bearing, has anyone had a custom driveshaft made up using the stock ends just one long shaft cannot find the driveshaft mod parts here.

1986 Ford Ranger Super Cab 2.9
31 inch tires
3 inch james duff lift kit
2 inch body lift

And if your too lazy to click on the link, any 98+ extended cab 4x4 ranger, or 1st gen 4x4 sport trac stock shaft will work. I also made a stock 1975 F100 reg cab long bed shaft fit. This one is a little tight to fit as its about an inch longer than the ranger shafts, but it works as thats what I'm running right now in my ST...

Way to be a d!ck to people trying to help you. Maybe if you could use punctuation, then people could understand you and you wouldn't have to spell it out a second time.

NOW, back to you're original question. Yes, you could have a one piece driveshaft made from your 2 piece.
Has anyone done it? Probably, but with so many 98+ trucks running around its a waste of money to have one built. Mine cost me $25. If you cant find one, thats a different story. Then you're only option is to have one made.

I had my stock 2 piece shaft built into a 1 piece unit. I did this because I found the 98+ shaft had a larger diameter that rubbed on my gastank skid too much under full flex conditions on my truck.

I had it retubed with a lot thicker wall tube while I was at it.

It cost me $300 for the tube/ machine work/ spin balancing.

Yes, I've made up a 1 piece from a 2 piece, like the others have...

Where are you at? I have 2 sitting in my barn, 1 in .120 wall 3.5" OD, the other in .250wall 3" OD.... they don't fit the new driveline and I want them gone.

Of course it is possible. Call a driveline shop, they'd be happy to help you out. Nothing special about the yokes, cut em off and weld new tube between them...

That is what I did and it cost me 125 bucks
