My credo
If you expect the worst and hope for the best, you're already planning for failure.
In my current project, I am wanting to do away with the stock center console and put in something custom that's more appealing and will look new considering I am also going to be replacing the seats with newer ones out of an escape or something so I can have power movement. I have seen a few places like Fiberworks that sell them, but they are a bit outside of my budget and I would like to DIY this. Does any one know if there is a set of plans somewhere on the interwebs that I could follow and make my own? I don't mind doing the design and everything, just hoping to save a bit of time by having a set of plans to follow and tweak to my liking. Also looking for a kit to make the stereo a double din so I can Install a touch screen, but haven't had any luck finding one. If you can point me in the right direction, I sure would be great full for the help.

Tech articles are your friend:
(scroll down to "center consoles") and there are like 11 different sticky'd how to's)

specifically for a custom fiberglass:

me, myself, I would go to the junkyard (aka "the 'yard" from here on) and get a center console out of an explorer.... or next gen ranger if you want to fab, or even an escape or or depending on how much you want it to be "bolt it" versus "from scratch"

Thank you for showing me where to look. I'm pretty new to the site and can be a bit lazy sometimes. I appreciate the time.
