Well Its been a long time since ive been on the site, or even looking at my ranger. Marine Corps and live were just to busy to even think about spending hours in the garage grinding and welding. SO anyway here it goes. ... 94 ranger extended cab got as my first truck about 10 years ago from my dad did the ttb lift on 33s then 35s then SAS with 44 on 38s and destroyed the lil 44 everytime out wheeling. I was never good at keeping off the skinny petal. It went under the knife and never came out but now its time to get her running again.

So heres the plan It will be a play truck not a dd and not a crawler but something inbetween. As hard as it is to give up the stock v6 and all 150 hp ive decited to go cummins (not powerstroke :icon_confused: ) I have a 350 with the pstroke so cant have 2. so got a 6bt p pump 12 valve from a 94 ram 2500. so the drivetrain will be 12 valve, nv4500 and twin stick 205 (maybe maybe a magnum box and 205 doubler from ORD) Dana 60 and 14 bolt with 4.10s on 39s. With a 4 link in the rear and 3 link and panhar up front both on air bags.

Started with a frame from 2x5 .250 wall tube, streched it 15 inches to fit the motor and add a rack inbetween the cab and bed. I got a ton of work to do but thats the start of it. Heres some pictures.

I miss a running rig...

Hell yes. What's the tube buggy?

Hell yes. What's the tube buggy?

long story I actually tore my ranger down about 2 years ago to put it on one tons and v8 and after getting all the parts I wanted to put a exo cage around the ranger and do some hard wheeling/ crawling. after thinking about it for a long time i didnt want to destroy my ranger body since its dent free. I also hate the look of a truck and exocage with the cab and doors beat to shit. so i said save the ranger and build a buggy for hard core wheeling. started the build then left the ranger sitting, got a good start on the buggy then left with the Marine corps again. so then they both sat. after coming back i wanted to start building again, started working on the buggy then the wife got prego so figured I need to get a project done before my daughter is born and the ranger was more logical about $8000 to finish and the buggy over $20000. so now the buggy sits in the corner of shame and now the ranger will be done first. I have 4 months before baby is born got money saved and not working so time to get :icon_welder:.

I'll be watching... And for the record, this is one of the best looking Rangers I've ever seen just because it sits so well! :icon_thumby:

It was a shame to tear it all apart. :bawling: but the dana 44 spooled and the heavy 38s and beadlocks did not get along very well. just destroyed it everytime out if I would get it bound up in the rocks and give it to much of the skinny one.

Didnt get to far today but got alittle progress.
