good question
Hey guys, trying to get my cruise control working. It’s a 1994 ford ranger Okay so the brake dump valve is taped and I moved the plastic piece so it makes contact. I tested the servo with the vacuum line and of revved up to the moon holy crap. It works. I have looked at the buttons not sure what all I’m looking for but the wires look ok and no obvious corrosion or problems. So is the next step to look at the module? The module looks like a pain in the Yk what to even get out.

So if you took the dump valve out of the equation, you still need to look at the electrical switch on the brake arm. You will have one that does the brake lights like every other ranger, but you will then have another added one to tell the cruise to drop out when you touch the brakes. Like the dump valve, if that is not adjusted correctly it can hold out on the cruise function.

When you get it sorted, try to get the dump valve working again. If it's not working, when you touch the brake the vehicle speed will slowly drop as the vacuum in the servo slowly bleeds off. If the dump valve working the throttle drops back much quicker.
