cruise control lights on steering wheel

hey guys/girls, I am curious if anyone knows how to change the lights on the cruise control buttons that are on the steering wheel. first the lights on the right side went out, and now the left side is dark also. is this a pain to get to these lights with the airbags and all? is this something that i should just take it to ford to get done maybe? thanks in advance for your knowledge and help.

My right side lights are out too I'd like to repair them also I haven't looked into it yet have you learned any thing more?

cruise switches on steering wheel

hello,
this is brian . i work @ ernie haire ford inc. in tampa,fl.
we sell the cruise control switches all the time. they usually a pair.

im fixing to replace mine do to the black covering on the
face of the switch becoming all sticky and wearing off.
thanks to the florida sun.

my tech inside the dealership, say disconnect the battery
for at least 10 min. losing the screws from the back of the wheel. pull
the air bag foward ,leaving air bag hooked up. you can get a stubby screw
driver in there behind airbag to losen the screws. unplug and replug new cruise switches in place. mount your ground wire in the same place.
put back air bag, and battery cables.
