hello

i have a '96 ranger, 2.3, manual trans, 2wd, and i was wondering it removing the cruise control setup will throw any codes or cause any problems? i never use it, so i want to remove the electrical box and associated throttle cable to tidy up my engine bay a bit. all i would do is remove the box on the passenger side fender, retain the wiring harness connector, then trace the cable over to mount and disconnect it. eventually i would remove my broken/non-working controls on the steering wheel as well.

any ideas if i can do this without issues? thanks guys, i always appreciate the help

It won't hurt anything.

I'll even buy the box and cable off you.

works for me. ive never used it, so im not even sure if it works. its a shot in the dark if you want to buy it off me.

I'll throw you 20 or so for it, since you don't know if it works either. Beats putting it on a shelf or chucking it in the trash.
