Cruise control button illumination?

Question - can anyone confirm that their cruise buttons are backlit? The switches I bought to replace the trashed ones on my '99 are definitely set up to be lit, and some of the comments in the reviews indicate that they work. I'm just not clear on what year Rangers are actually set up this way as I've never seen them lit up. If they're not supposed to be lit in the first place, I'll just take 'fixing' this off my list and move on.

Mine are not.

I think a lot of things around 2000 were backlit though, I know my '02 F-150's are.

The buttons on my '04 dealer-install kit are back-lit. I installed the kit myself and saved $$$

The CC button in my 99 is NOT back lit
