Anyone had luck repairing the plastic clip on a cruise control cable (2001 4.0) where it attaches to the throttle body? Its just a simple plastic part where it attached to the throttle body is broken and won't stay attached to the arm. Ford did some service work and broke it, and of course they said it was broken when I brought it in. I have to have hips replaced and use my cruise A LOT, so up until the last 1/4 mile when I dropped it off at Ford for the service work, the cruise worked fine. They did timing chain work and were in and around that area the entire time. Ford said they would replace it after I threw a fit.
It sure seems like a simple fix to make an adapter to clip on to repair it without replacing the entire $45 cable.
