Which speed sensor does the cruise work off of, the gear driven tranny sensor (w/o cable) or the magnetic pickup sensor on the diff?

wasnt sure since since I know the newer Rangers dont even have that sensor, and they switched to the OBD II in 95. I wasnt sure if the computer update changed what sensor the cruise ran off of.

It'll run off of whatever sensor generates the VSS signal. Check the tech library for the year by year differences for that signal.
