Thought I intro'd myself y'day but I don't see it so it must be my CRS. Just bought a 99 XLT ext cab 2WD. 137k. Good shape mechanically, some dents and dings. Gonna be mostly my Home Depot truck with occasional drives to work.

Question - the steering wheel mounted cruise switches look like crap - the coating is peeling and stained, etc. Dealer wants $130. Looking online I found these:

The cheapo ones aren't OEM but the second one down for about $70 look just like mine. The photo doesn't show an attached wire harness. Anyone know what you have to do to wire these up?

The harness plugs in like a computer connector, you'll see when you take it apart. Be gentle with it.

Thanks, Earl. Was afraid I'd have to solder the wires to the new switches - not a strong suit of mine. Plug and play I can handle.

Yep, just carefully remove the airbag and the rest is pretty straightforward.











I used to live over on the west side, between Normandy and Wilson (closer to Wilson, Winterwood Circle). I was glad to see Jax in ther rearview mirror, driving a U-Haul, towing my Ranger. I'm just not a Florida person.
