OK Explorer wheels are out. Backspacing and offset are all wrong on the really good looking wheels. Seems that only the 1st and 2nd generation Explorer wheels may work and no really good looking wheels on those trucks.

So what about the Crown Vic??

This wheel (17 x 7 )was used on the Crown Vic from 93 to 05. It has the correct bolt pattern and it has a back spacing around 4 to 4.5 inches (cannot find an exact number). I think it will work without spacers, so will it??

I've seen a ranger or two around here with the dog-dish Police Intercepter rims, so I'd assume they fit.
