crossmember question

I am swapping a 5spd out of a 88 ranger into my 91. Going from auto to a maual and the crossmember won't lineup. Even the crossmember out of the older truck is farther foward. If I run to the scrap yard will a manual crossmember out of my body style be what I need or do I need to roll the welder out? Thanks in advance

Going from a4ld to a fm145. Trying to buy a a year out of it before I swap the 5.0 in.

There are two sets of holes in frame, you may need to cut rivets and move it

Thanks, I got impatient and made a new crossmember out of the old one. Ha The holes in the frame are in a different spot than the older truck. Waiting for my drivelines now. I might make a thread on swapping the fm145 into a 91 even though it's not a very desirable swap. I just need my truck for the summer.
