Crossmember problems!

We purchased a Ford Ranger from a person that didnt seem to know what he was doing too much when it came to swaping the 4 cylinder to a 351! I am trying to fix it so it is safe and functional! It has a built up 351 in it and they have cut alot of peices out of the front crossmember and the trans mount crossmember! I dont like how they did it! But is this going to hurt the truck in the long run, and is it imperitive to fix this problem? If it is a problem, does anyone know if they sell a bolt on fix, or mabee a fabrication I can do to resolve this! They cut out the trans crossmember to leave clearance for the header bolts!

Are you talking about the engine x member or the on that runs between the radius arm mounts. Trans x members are cheap and plentiful. Get one that doesn't use the rubber donuts atr either end. They let things get a little too flexy for my liking.
