Critique My Truck Thread

Well, the only other thing I see is frame twist but you're kinda limited on what you can do there without making fairly major changes. Great truck man!

Lol thanks, I guess it was from the flexing, but it seems just fine now.

Yeah.. The flexing does it to mine too :/ But hey, that's an added inch of flex that you don't get in a chevy ;)

Just wait till I get my rear locker, YESSSS.

I need to do a locker here soon too.... 1wd just doesn't quite cut it :no2:

I know, I'm getting something called a tri locker, at least I think its called that, but it makes your truck full time 2wd except when you turn it unlocks and only lets 1 wheel drive. Was going to go with posi - trac, but this sounds better.

Sounds like a pretty decent plan. My current plan is to get an Explorer 8.8 with an open diff and 4.10 gears then install an aussie locker in there. From what I understand, the aussie forces both wheels to go at 100% of the diff speed but will allow one wheel or the other to go faster for cornering.

I just need mine in by ski season because I can't let my 2wd (or 1wd, for that matter) ruin a good pow day!

I was debating on 4.10's but we will see. And with true 2wd, I can actually climb a dirt hill!

That's my goal! That being said, I've pulled out several 4x4's and haven't gotten my 2x4 stuck one time!! And I'm playing in a lot of the puddles and on a lot of the hills that the 4x4's are playing in/on.

Never used to take too much time to bother with cosmetics on my truck, but now that I am at school and I can't do mechanical stuff, cosmetics comes back up on the list.

Im thinking about maybe clear headlights, ditching the 93 style taillights (or tinting them), maybe HIDs? I wouldn't mind a different grill either, the only problem is I would have to cut it up to fit around my winch. I don't mind cutting one up, it would just have to be a grill that would lend itself well to being cut up. I would also like to paint my truck/get it painted, but that is a little bit further in the future. I just dislike the color it is now because it is too hard to match an accent color with it. Right now I kind of feel there are too many different colors on the truck.

Anyway, thoughts? Feel free to tear it apart with critiques.

I would start off with real fender flares - bushwhacker
I would also relocate the aux reverse lights/rear spots (or floods) below the bumper. Maybe match the suspension components that are currently orange to the body color? Black with current color may look pretty sick. Maybe a custom rear that matches the front bumper or at least make yours black to match? After that and lighting, I'm out of ideas. The truck looks great!

Black it out, all black, get hids, fab up a rear tube bumper stuff like that.

This thread seems fun...

I think you need a new mirror.

I think you need a new mirror.

I have set of power mirrors with puddle lights and Thunderbolt Ed. glass that have LED turn signals...I remove them when I wheel.

You guys can do better than that...
