AWRITE!! Here we go! Yesterday, 7-15-11, my wife bought me a 94 XLT 4x4 while I was out of state. It has the 3.0 and (thank God) a manual trans. 181k miles, doesn't smoke or use oil. Cold AC. Pretty nice of her I must say!

First off, I'm gonna remove (depimp) all the stuff I don't find attractive. Cheap chrome additions, broken vent visors, etc.

This stuff has to go!

Next, I'm taking the gateway buckshot wide MUDDERs from my beloved RODEO

Then I'll do a torsion bar shackle lift just cuz it's so easy.

Anybody reading this know where to source a cheap roll bar? I'm having a devil of a time finding any at all!
Thanx!

You don't have torsion bars.

which is a good thing.
but look in the tech library at the washer lift! cheap and easy also! :icon_bounceblue:

But i hear they make good pry-bars! I am going to turn mine into pry-bars!

I know a guy with a little 4x4 business and I was over there for a project and he was prying on something with a bar and I noticed that it was just a torsion bar! Good cheap prybar if you have some just laying around! Just grind down the end to a wedge. anyways, hows that t-bar crank goin?

NO TORSION BARS??? Oh wow. I thought the lift would be cheap and easy. Darn! I did it on a 99 explorer and I assumed this was the same body! Geez!
Anybody have a link to the washer lift?

you have a mucho better suspension up front!

I dig MUCHO BETTER! So it's a straight axle? Sweet! It sounds crazy, but I literally haven't seen my truck yet! Lol

not quite a solid axle, you have TTB. A LOT better than IFS imo.. and the lifts for your truck you can get like 11in of lift for ~$1100 compared to the $1200 for like a 4in suspension lift for the IFS

And there's lots of good TTB tech on here to. It's what we do. Look thru about the last 5 pages of my build thread. Start when I decided to go with a d35 ttb instead of a jeep d30 solid axle. And just read. Most of it is about how to set up a ttb. Of course I'm going with more than 2" of lift to. I'll be somewhere around 4-6" with 6" jeep xj springs. Mucho flex if done with proper components. The d35 ttb can run 35's even 37's in some cases in stock form. I personally probably wouldnt run 37's on it. I know we have several on here running 35's on it with no problem.

Also look at legoms build. Desciplerocks build. Copykat. Slo-Vo's ranger (he just sold *tear*) and several others are wheeling on ttb and doing a dang good job.

Oh ok! So it still has CV shafts? I guess it's the 95+ that have torsion bars. I don't wanna lift more than about 2", so I guess the washer lift will work. I have tried to find a "how to" on the washer lift in the tech library, but I can't find it! Thanx for your help! Y'all bare with me, I'm learning!
