So after visiting HCP 4x4 (local shop)for a quote on a ARB install in the 8.8 I have decided its just too much $, for right now. I am going to go with a Truetrac rear LS. ALL of the reviews I have read say they are excellent....and when I can I will be using an Aussie up front. Today is a good day as I have finally made a desicion on this and have the cash to make it happen.

Got the d35 chunk all torn down and cleaned up. Its holding precision gear 4.56s(I had to be sure after reading adams story about mismatched gears) Going to get ball joints, and brake lines and swap it under the truck this weekend using my knuckles that are currently on the truck.

Dropped off the 8.8 and driveshaft at Front Range driveline for a gear install precision 456s and detroit Truetrac. That should also be ready by this weekend.
I also ordered these which should be here any day now

Ballistic makes some good stuff.

I recommend welding the shock tabs in the center of the axle tubes. That will eliminate the shock hanging lower than the axle.

those are from ruffstuffspecialties.com and yeah shock mounts below the axle have always bothered me. Ill be sure to put em up outta harms way.
