looking at 2002 focus sedan with a 5 speed 2.0l zetec.

car needs a crankshaft censor to run,or so i was told by the guy that had it before me.However i did put a crankshaft censor on the car and it started up,but soon it broke the crankshaft censor, could of just been a bad censor i dont know?

he said he got it without a sensor put one it and it ran and when he checked it out again part of the sensor was broken off. and the car wouldnt start again.

anybody got any ideas whats going on

this sounds like you need a special alignment tool to install the sensor. had this same thing happen on my 89 2.3l. i now have the tool, it came with the sensor and worked perfect.
