Can the gear ring on the 2.5 engine crankshaft pulley slip? Also is a 99 pulley interchangeable with a 95?

I don't believe it is pinned in place, only press fit. So, yes, if it hit something then I suppose the tone ring could shift/spin.

Any pulley from '95-'01 should work.

Can the ring be replace and where can I find one? i think this is why my engine will not start.

It's been a while since I've looked closely at one of those but, I do not remember there being any sort of keyway or alignment tab holding the tone ring in place. If so, then realistically, no the tone ring cannot be replaced. It has to be aligned within a degree or two. And I'd guess the only way to do that would be the assembly jig at the factory that was used when the ring was originally pressed on.

I have found out that they can be changed. It has a timing mark thats is line up with the key lot. I would not recomend trying to chage it thou.

Hmm, learn something new all the time.

That's gotta be a bitch to get that timing mark aligned.
