i have a 99 ranger and would like to raise the front just a little with low costs...should i crank up the torsion bars a little? are there any other better ways. give me your input

A t-bar crank will lift your front end slightly and cheaply without any real issues. You will need to get it aligned afterward though. You can probably figure about $70 for that.

no risk at all. i just cranked the ones in my 99 to level out the truck.. brought it into work and aligned it ... i did notice that the bolts for the torsen keys wont be equal.. ones going to be more than the other. just take a tape measure and have a buddy crank on them untill each fender is the same distance from the ground.

No risk... just make sure to get an alignment!

Why the hell are there so many post on this stupid same issue?....why don't people use the serch function???

Who knows... the search feature we have is awesome to considering you don't even have to go in a separate page to use it.

I'm on another fourm site and the search function sucks.. I mean you can find what you need to though.. You should see the amount of questions we get about the rev limiter at 3k.. Everyone is like idk why my car stumbles at 3k.. Dirrrr.. :shok: lol

now my ranger has 156xxx i might want to upgrade to #1 torsion bars. i cant find them anywhere. where do i get them?

I do not know a single person who has done a tbar crank. Everybody I know who has a Ranger did a suspension lift and has enjoyed it for so many years. Every shop I have gone to has told me not to do the tbar crank since you can cause issues and the ride is not as great.

But to each their own.....

I remember back in the day people used to think that you could snap your t-bars if you cranked them. But, like the guy at the speed 'n customs shop said to me, you're not putting any more weight or stress on them. The only thing you have to watch out for is not lifting it too high...the CV joints don't like going too high

Yes to that. Never crank them too munch or you are asking for trouble.
