Crank Torsion Bars

I'd appreciate some input from anyone who has cranked the torsion bars on their ranger. I'm trying to decide if there could be any negative effects on my vehicle. Anyone with any expertise or experience with this specific adjustment please chime in.

My truck-
1993 Ford Ranger XL
4x4 -(Currently not functioning)

Should I have an alignment done after cranking the torsion bars?
Will this increase wear on my vehicle?
What can I expect for lift in inches?
Will this be a level lift?

You are just messing around with us right? You have an entirely different front suspension than I do. 98+ Rangers have IFS. You have TTB.
 
98 and newer rangers have torsion bar short/long arm independent front suspension.

83 to 97 rangers have a coil sprung twin traction beam independent front suspension.

These are the mods you can look at for leveling your style of suspension:

Leveling coils:

Any modification to the front suspension of the truck will require a wheel alignment to be done afterwards.

There will be no extra wear and tear on the suspension because of these modifcations.

You can get anywhere from 1" to 2.5" of lift from these modifications depending on which ones you do. You will be unable to have the vehicle aligned if you go for more than 2-2.5" of lift without getting a complete lift kit with the proper drop brackets and pitman arm to correct the steering angles.

Yes the vehicle should sit level when you are done.

There's no need to jump down the guys throat about this. He's obviously new to this and rangers in general. I know when I first signed up on the site in 2002 I believe that my first post on here was about how could I crank the torsion bars on my 91 ranger to lift it. We all start somewhere.

I'm guessing you weren't a Ford tech at the time?
 
I would have been in high school at that time. My ranger was my first and only vehcile, got it when I was 16 to learn to drive in.

I started with Ford right after high school.

I was stupid and should've done what I wanted to do straight out of high school...ASSET.
 
I put torsion bars on my 97, just so I could CRAAANNKK!!!!! them.

no harm done man, I used to think my 2.3 was kind of fast.
