How do you get into it? I went to the dealership when I was 16 just looking for wash cars and shit in the back and they wouldn't hire me. The service manager told me to go to UTI and he'd hire me as a diesel tech. I'm not paying 30k for that! I'm going to a community college as of now to become a technician.

The dealership here just took me on as an apprentice right out of high school. I look my 6 week courses at the local community college.

I go to school at Columbus State Community College in Ohio and they offer the ford asset program. It gets you working at a dealership and going to class at the same time. Its actually a requirement to find a job and keep it while you are taking your classes. Im just taking the associates degree in automotive technology. Same classes but you dont have to work at a dealership at the same time.
